Nova Scotia Limited is looking for a Long haul truck driver in Windsor, Nova Scotia to start as soon as possible.

Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $46,000.00 Y per year for a 40 hour week.

Notes: bonus, and other benefits.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, WHMIS Certificate, Air Brake Adjustment Certificate.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver’s licence
