Job Opportunity: Executive Director - Hants Leaning Network Association

Executive Director (Term Position August 2010 to March 31, 2011)

30 hours per week

Established in 1994 and located in the Municipality of West Hants. The Hants Leaning Network Association is a not-for-profit literacy and career based organization that focuses on adult learners and learning opportunities that encourage and support healthy, sustainable communities.

The Executive Director will report to an established Board of Directors and work closely with funding agencies, stakeholders, community partners, and staff in the successful delivery of adult literacy programs and services. The incumbent is responsible for management duties associated with the programs and services that are under the administrative umbrella of the organization.

Job Opportunity: Long Haul Truck Driver

Nova Scotia Limited is looking for a Long haul truck driver in Windsor, Nova Scotia to start as soon as possible.

Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $46,000.00 Y per year for a 40 hour week.

Notes: bonus, and other benefits.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, WHMIS Certificate, Air Brake Adjustment Certificate.

Occupational Therapist Part -time

Dykeland Lodge & Windsor Elms requires a part-time Occupational Therapist.

Employment Opportunity: Seniors' Safety Coordinator

The Seniors' Safety Program Association of Hants Co. is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to coordinate the Seniors' Safety Program. The program addresses the safety concerns of seniors by promoting education and awareness about crime prevention, seniors' abuse, safety and health issues.

The successful candidate will have:

post secondary education in Social Sciences or equivalent education & experience
experience working with seniors and an awareness of community resources
experience writing grants proposals
strong interpersonal, communication, administrative and organizational skills
the ability to work independently and as part of a team
valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

This position is an 8 month term contract for 25 hours/week beginning September 7th, 2010
